17 LNTA Staff Receive Certificates in Tourism Event Design for National Development
MONROVIA, Liberia – June 25, 2026 – As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen Liberia’s tourism and cultural sectors and enhance the country’s visibility as a tourism destination, the Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA) has successfully trained and certified seventeen staff members in Tourism Event Design for National Development.
The training was conducted voluntarily by the K3 Events, a premium event styling and corporate experience design company specializing in conferences, diplomatic engagements, and high-end experiences. The two-day capacity-building workshop, held under the theme “Tourism Event Design and Management for National Development,” at the LNTA headquarters in Monrovia, focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to transform events into tourism assets, economic drivers, and destination-branding tools through strategic planning and effective implementation.
Participants described the training as both insightful and empowering, noting that it broadened their understanding of the tourism industry while creating valuable opportunities to network with tourism professionals, government representatives, development partners, event organizers, and private-sector stakeholders. “We are delighted that the LNTA recognized the importance of organizing this training for us,” one participant said. “We appreciate our management and the facilitator for the knowledge and skills shared during the workshop. We are committed to applying what we have learned in our daily work and contributing meaningfully to the growth of Liberia’s tourism sector.”
Speaking at the certificate presentation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of K3 Events, Madam Musu Gopeya, who facilitated the training, expressed appreciation to the LNTA for the opportunity to share her expertise with tourism practitioners. She encouraged participants to champion environmentally responsible and socially inclusive tourism practices while generating innovative ideas and recommendations that can help shape tourism policies and contribute to national development strategies.
Speaking on behalf of the LNTA, the Authority’s Consultant for Marketing, Communications and Promotions, Madam Jani Kollie, thanked CEO Gopeya for answering the national call to service and for her dedication throughout the training process, noting that the LNTA looks forward to strengthening its partnership with K3 Events through future collaborations aimed at advancing tourism development in Liberia, and equip both the participants and the institution with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to create tourism events that stimulate economic growth.
