Research & Product Development
Research is the backbone of our work. LNTA uses data, surveys and market intelligence to guide tourism policy and planning, while our product development team works with partners across all 15 counties to create new, high-quality tourism experiences.
LNTA’s research and product development functions are designed to support evidence-based decision-making and to turn Liberia’s rich natural and cultural assets into sustainable tourism opportunities.
Our research teams work closely with national statistics institutions, immigration, central government, county authorities and industry associations to build a reliable picture of tourism performance and potential.
Our Product Development team works hand-in-hand with the industry to develop new tourism products, while enhancing existing ones – from surf and beach tourism to heritage, eco-tourism and community-based tourism.
Concept & Opportunity IdentificationUsing research insights, we identify product gaps and opportunities in destinations such as Robertsport, Buchanan, Sapo corridor and key cultural sites.
Co-design with StakeholdersWe engage communities, private operators, youth and women groups to shape product ideas that are inclusive, marketable and respectful of local culture.
Piloting & Market TestingNew experiences – such as guided community tours or thematic routes – are piloted and refined based on visitor feedback and market response.
Scaling & PromotionSuccessful products are integrated into national and regional marketing campaigns, including trade fairs, digital platforms and partnerships with tour operators.
Key tourism indicators help LNTA and its partners assess performance and plan ahead.
