Research & Product Development
Research is the backbone of our work. LNTA uses data, surveys and market intelligence to guide tourism policy and planning, while our product development team works with partners across all 15 counties to create new, high-quality tourism experiences.

Explore Our Research Reports & Ongoing Projects
Every day the world is changing, with new trends and disruptions affecting how people travel, where they stay and what they choose to experience. LNTA’s research teams monitor these trends and conduct targeted studies to inform national tourism strategies.
In parallel, our product development specialists engage with communities, private operators and development partners to transform research insights into tangible tourism products – from coastal circuits and cultural routes to nature-based and community experiences across Liberia.

Research is the Backbone of Our Work

LNTA’s research and product development functions are designed to support evidence-based decision-making and to turn Liberia’s rich natural and cultural assets into sustainable tourism opportunities.

From data to decisions
Tourism Intelligence for Liberia

Our research teams work closely with national statistics institutions, immigration, central government, county authorities and industry associations to build a reliable picture of tourism performance and potential.

  • Monitoring visitor arrivals, origin markets, length of stay and spending patterns.
  • Carrying out enterprise and visitor surveys in priority destinations and corridors.
  • Tracking regional and global tourism trends that affect Liberia and the ECOWAS region.
  • Providing evidence to guide zoning, infrastructure investment and marketing decisions.
Product Development in the Liberian Context

Our Product Development team works hand-in-hand with the industry to develop new tourism products, while enhancing existing ones – from surf and beach tourism to heritage, eco-tourism and community-based tourism.

Concept & Opportunity Identification

Using research insights, we identify product gaps and opportunities in destinations such as Robertsport, Buchanan, Sapo corridor and key cultural sites.

Co-design with Stakeholders

We engage communities, private operators, youth and women groups to shape product ideas that are inclusive, marketable and respectful of local culture.

Piloting & Market Testing

New experiences – such as guided community tours or thematic routes – are piloted and refined based on visitor feedback and market response.

Scaling & Promotion

Successful products are integrated into national and regional marketing campaigns, including trade fairs, digital platforms and partnerships with tour operators.
